The Purpose of Your Role:
The Financial Wellness Educator serves a critical role on the Institutional Retirement Plan Advisory team, developing and refining a broad knowledge of the financial planning process by conducting educational meetings and reviews with retirement plan participants. The ideal candidate develops rapport with participants and business owners to enhance the value of our individual and institutional services.

Salary Range: Salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000 annually, dependent on experience.

- Knowledge and full understanding of capital markets, mutual funds, retirement planning, retirement plans, healthcare planning, and has a genuine interest in continuing to learn about such matters, ability to communicate subject matter clearly and in simple terms
- Ability to work as part of a group or independently, patient, passion for both sales and service
- Explain complex financial topics in both group and individual settings
- Attend fiduciary review meetings with Plan Advisors to provide information on market and investment performance and develop an education strategy with plan sponsors
- Conduct group educational seminars and 1:1 reviews throughout the year on various topics designed to ensure the holistic financial success of plan participants
- Identify quality opportunities for individual business and refer to them to Financial Planners as appropriate
- Provide education on various financial planning topics with a focus on strategies that address retirement planning
- Ensure participants make informed decisions for their situation and utilize their workplace retirement plan to the fullest extent possible
- Retain institutional business and create cross selling opportunities by providing best in class educational service to advisory clients
- Partner with Marketing to create and conduct webinars and blog content for clients and prospects
- Support new sales and market development initiatives
- Exhibit understanding of key features and benefits of Sentinel’s products and services
- Stay informed of retirement planning subject matter and investment requirements and products
- Proactively keep supervisor informed of key activities with assigned clients
- Up to 50% travel may be required to clients

- Communication – able to respond and exchange ideas clearly and effectively through writing, speaking, and presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and full understanding of capital markets, investment products, retirement & financial planning, and a genuine interest in continuing to learn about such matters, ability to communicate subject matter clearly and in simple terms
- ERISA and retirement plan knowledge (or interest in obtaining the necessary knowledge)
- FINRA Series 65 (or interest in obtaining/ability to obtain)
